San Juan (PR) VA Facility Condition Assessment, Seismic Screening

Seismic Screening Study to quantify the vulnerability of non-structural building components and contents during a seismic event at this 565,840 SF medical center located within a high risk region of seismic activity. Because the facility had not been previously screened, it was necessary to evaluate all the functional areas within the main hospital to determine a reasonable accurate quantity of deficiencies. Examined existing construction drawings, conducted visual surveys, collected photographic documentation, quantified deficiencies and prepared cost estimates for seismic upgrades.
