Seismic Screening and Upgrade
US Veterans
Administration, Facility Condition Assessment (FCA)
Throughout Continental United States, Puerto
Rico
Seismic screening to quantify the vulnerability
of non-structural building components and
contents during a seismic event. Screenings were
conducted in accordance with VA Seismic Design
Requirements H-18- 8 and with Tier 1 Seismic
Evaluation of Existing Buildings per ASCE/SEI
31-03 by the American Society of Civil
Engineers. Deficiencies were quantified and
construction estimates were generated.
