Performed as-built surveys, evaluated testing
results, and engineered repairs on completed
defective structural components including
masonry and steel at this $19.2M maximum
security facility designed to house mentally ill
prisoners. Repair design documents along with
examination of completed repair work for
compliance with final design documents was
provided.
City of Kennesaw, Courthouse Renovation &
Addition Kennesaw, Georgia
Structural engineering and design of a two story
8,900sf structural steel and light gauge metal
courthouse addition with bell tower. The $1.0M
project also included an assessment of the
existing building to meet seismic and
progressive collapse performance. In addition to
designing for gravity and lateral loads, the new
state of the art addition was detailed to
integrate seamlessly with the existing historic
courthouse.

Commission, Lee Arrendale State Prison Alto, Georgia
Renovation of the maximum security, special
management unit of an occupied housing unit
located on the interior of the campus style
prison. The existing building contains two
housing wings, 4 floors, and 240 cells. This
project included structural stabilization, HVAC
upgrade, and addition to the visitation
building, and HVAC system replacement and
upgrade to the administrative offices.
